Spelling - We use the spelling program, WordsTheir Way: Word Study in Action. Thecore of this program is the sort, the process of grouping words into specificcategories. Word sorts are designed to encourage students to focus on the sounds, spelling patterns, and meanings ofwords. Students can also practice their spelling words by visiting www.spellingcity.com. Once you are on the site, click on the tab“Find A List”. Then search by teacher’s name: Carla Shafer. Scroll down to the name of our school.
